Green Wave Launches Cetadelic: An Open-Source Art Movement for Cetacean Liberation

      October 2025 – Global

Green Wave Enterprises has announced the launch of Cetadelic, an open-source-like art campaign calling on artists and visual creators worldwide to stand up for cetaceans—the family of marine mammals that includes whales, dolphins, orcas, and belugas.

Cetadelic empowers artists to join the movement by downloading and using 30 free seamless VJ loops, available now at Cetadelic.org. By projecting these visuals in live shows, festivals, and livestreams, creators can amplify a global call for change: Play visuals. Spread awareness. Save cetaceans.

The phrase “Save the Whales” has long been a rallying cry, but Cetadelic underscores that the issue goes beyond whales alone. Dolphins, orcas, and other cetaceans are still being held captive for entertainment, often in isolation. Kshamenk, the last surviving captive orca in South America, has lived alone in a tank for over 30 years. His story is the spark for Cetadelic’s first wave.

“Cetadelic is about shifting culture to make cetacean captivity unacceptable,” said Morgan Lavery, CEO of Melt Creative. “We believe artists have the ability to spark movements, and visuals can open hearts in ways that policy debates alone cannot.”

Green Wave’s creative partner Melt Creative helped bring Cetadelic from concept to launch. When Green Wave approached Lavery with the vision, he recognized the potential and brought it to his Melt partner and one half of the electronic music duo GANTASMO. This collaboration has quickly sparked and spread quickly into the first Cetadelic activation: GANTASMO's new track “Hell Is a Very Small Place” (now in soft release and already available for music usage on Instagram), accompanied by the debut set of VJ loops.

The timing is urgent. In Taiji, Japan, dolphins are being hunted and captured for sale to marine parks. Meanwhile, more than three decades have passed since the release of Free Willy (1993), a film that created enough public demand to secure the release of Keiko, the orca who inspired it. Cetadelic seeks to revive and expand that movement—not just for one orca, but for all cetaceans.

The project also invites us to think beyond the tank. Perhaps outdated industries can transition toward sanctuaries and ocean-based alternatives that protect marine life while still creating educational and tourism opportunities rooted in respect, not exploitation.

      How to Join:
      • Download the free art packs at Cetadelic.org
      • Use them in your shows, streams, and events
      • Tag and share to amplify the message

Together, artists can ensure that Kshamenk’s story is not forgotten — and help set a precedent for the freedom of all cetaceans worldwide.
